That's So Cliche - Ignorance Is Bliss
on October 14th, 2020
David Magness - As believers, we must know where our strength to stand firm on the Truth lies. It’s not in our own discipline, which can fail, but in the One who never fails. We can have real hope in the midst of temptation, not mere wishful thinking, so we can be bold. Christ has given us the example to look to God’s Word when we are faced with temptation, which is why it’s so important for us as believer’s to KNOW the Word of God…so as not to be tossed to-and-fro by our circumstances.  Read More

That’s So Cliché - Beauty Is Only Skin Deep
on October 7th, 2020
Bob Murray - This message reminded me how often, in times of difficulty, Christians are often directed to a discussion of “The Armor of God” in Ephesians 6:13-17. Absent contextual understanding, such instruction can sound a little complicated. In fact, many books have been written about just how to “take up the whole armor of God”, what each piece is for, how to use each piece, etc. However, man’s writings about “the armor of God” typically have one thing in common; they make the responsibility for the armor working to somehow depend on the wearer instead of the Provider, as well as the wearer’s preparation/ability to use it. on September 23rd, 2020
Bill Morel - I don’t know about you, but I get excited every time I think about the fact that Jesus’ death on the Cross was for ALL my sins. I don’t have to worry about laying in bed at night asking for forgiveness for everything I did that day… or else.  Read More

That's So Cliche - What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger
on September 16th, 2020
Jeff Wood - A couple of weeks ago, I had the privilege of walking through Ephesians 2 with my 8-year old son, Cooper in his Upstreet Kids Service (quick shoutout to B-Nell for an awesome job on the videos). This was right after hearing Pastor Matt’s message through the first half of Romans 5. As I was going back through these passages, the thing that kept resonating to me through both messages was God’s Grace and Peace through our faith in Christ.  Read More

A Freedom To Love
on September 9th, 2020
Matt Knight - Off the heels of the 4th of July weekend, my thoughts are still on how blessed we are to have the freedoms that we have in this great country. This morning those thoughts were overshadowed by the thoughts of the freedom we have in Christ.  Read More
