Christian Craighead is a former British Special Air Service (SAS) operator from Newcastle, England. He joined the British Army at 16 and served through the Parachute Regiment and Pathfinder Platoon before being selected into the elite 22 SAS.
His military service included deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, where he developed expertise in hostage rescue, direct action, and counter terrorism operations.
Christian became internationally known for his actions during the January 2019 terrorist attack at the DusitD2 hotel complex in Nairobi, Kenya. He responded to the attack ahead of reinforcements, helped neutralize terrorists, cleared areas of the building, and guided hundreds of people to safety.
For his extraordinary bravery, Christian was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross, one of the United Kingdom's highest honors for courage.
